Additionally, we’ll provide links below to resources from other sites, both national and international, from various denominations as these become available.
Each Year’s international ecumenical theme, introductory video (usually available around February) and celebration guide (usually available in June) can be found at
Some sermons, lectionary commentaries, music suggestions, etc. for various Earthcare themes are available from the American “Lutherans Restoring Creation” site here.
An alternative way to celebrate the season of creation is through a three year cycle of 3 yearly series of 4 Sunday themes following the three-year lectionary cycle: Year A – the Spirit in Creation ( Forest, Land, Wilderness, River Sundays), Year B – the Word in Creation (Planet Earth, Humanity, Sky, Mountain Sundays), Year C – Wisdom in Creation (Ocean, Flora and Fauna, Ocean, Cosmos Sundays), plus Blessings of the Animals services on the 5th Sunday of the Season each year. Dr Norm Habel and colleagues have developed an extensive set of liturgical and worship resources around this three year cycle which are available on the website seasonofcreation.com.
